Ohad Ben-Ari studied piano in Israel, and furthered his studies in Frankfurt. A winner of many top prizes at numerous international music competitions, including the coveted ARD Competition and the Arthur Rubinstein International Master Competition, he has participated in numerous festivals and played with sundry celebrated orchestras. He lives in Israel, where he has joined the faculty of Tel Aviv University as a chamber music specialist.
Daniel Bard, who grew up in Canada, studied violin in Toronto, at Yale University with Peter Oundjian, and at the Guildhall School in London with David Takeno. Bard is currently concertmaster of the Camerata Nordica in Sweden, and was in 2007 invited by Tabea Zimmermann to guest lead the Camerata Bern. Daniel plays a 1651 Nicolo Amati violin.
Hila Karni was born in Tel Aviv and studied in the US with Bernard Greenhouse, who describes her as “one of the most musically sensitive and technically exciting cellists of the younger generation”, and later on with Prof. David Geringas in Germany. Hila has made many festival appearances, performed in all foremost concert halls, and has among others played with Maxim Vengerov, the Scharoun Ensemble, and the late Boris Pergamenschikow, as well as numerous prominent orchestras.
